How do you find out that your plants have light burn?
Many people will judge by the color of the leaves, for example, the leaves change from green to yellow or brown; but in fact, only yellow leaves can not be sure the light burn happened, because nutrient burns(nute burn) also have similar phenomena. Nute Burn is due to the excess of nutrients in fertilizers, which block water, so the lack of water in plants causes the leaves to change color.
Therefore, when you see that the leaf color has a color change, you can also rule out whether it is nute burn by checking whether the root also has a color change. Because nute burn usually starts from the root of the plant.
Other typical feature when light burn happen:
1. Bleached buds
If the plant has buds, when you see the buds are bleached, you'll see them clearly white.
2. Green veins
The leaves will start to turn yellow at LB, but the color of the veins will not change, which means the leaves will not turn completely yellow
3. Yellow leaves that do not fall
Normally yellow leaves fall naturally, but with LB, this does not happen. However, if your plant's leaves change color and fall off at inappropriate times, it may be due to other problems such as nutritional deficiencies
How to cure light burn ?
Since light burn is because of too strong light intensity, so the only way is to adjust the light intensity.
The general method is to adjust the distance between lamps and plants. This is for old school plant lamps without light intensity control.
